Subjects

For each 8 point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, residential schools, or examinations.

If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.

As a Charles Sturt University student, throughout your course you have a responsibility to continue to develop skills in English language, literacy and numeracy as appropriate to your discipline. This ongoing development will enable you to effectively participate in your course and graduate prepared to enter the workforce.

Master of Nursing (with specialisations)

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

Graduate Diploma of Nursing (with specialisations)

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Graduate Certificate in Nursing (with specialisations)

Graduate Certificate of Nursing (with specialisation)
The Graduate Certificate in Nursing comprises 32 points and is offered part-time online over two sessions or one year. The course will develop students’ knowledge, skills and attributes through the study of clinical and professional nursing studies. During the first year of study students enrol in subjects in a particular specialty area. Subjects where residential schools are a compulsory requirement are not available to international students.


Graduate Diploma of Nursing (with specialisation)
The Graduate Diploma of Nursing comprises 64 points and is offered part-time online over four sessions or two years. During the first year of study students enrol in subjects in a particular specialty area (32 points).
