Description
Develop the student's ability to use and evaluate logical reasoning and construct rigorous arguments.
Develop, among others, the student's oral and written communication skills as well as their ability to use high-tech communication tools, especially in mathematics.
Provide the academic qualifications necessary for careers requiring strong mathematical knowledge and experience, and an appreciation of mathematics to sports science.
Develop an understanding of the design and evaluation of training schemes.
Produce graduates who can work in the sports industry.
Knowledge and understanding of the field of sports science and, in particular, the factors which influence participation and personal performance in sports and the methods by which these factors may be investigated
Knowledge and understanding of scientific methods of enquiry and their applications in sports science
Competence in the application and execution of laboratory and field methods and techniques for monitoring and evaluating the effects of physical activity on different populations.

Entry Requirements
A levels: grades AAB-BBB to include Mathematics.

Welsh Baccalaureate: Requirements are as for A levels where you can substitute the same non-subject specific grade for the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Level Core Grade.
BTEC: DDD plus grade B in A Level Mathematics.

Scottish Highers: ABBBC plus grade B in Mathematics.
Access to HE (Science): Pass with Distinction (to include 24 Dist, 15 Merits and 6 Passes) including 18 in Maths.

International Baccalaureate: 34-32 to include 6 in Higher Level Mathematics.
