Summary
This course will prepare you for GCSE Mathematics at Foundation level (maximum grade C) or Higher level may be possible, depending on your past experience in mathematics.
About the Course
You will follow a one year course offering a modular assessment through the year with the examination board reporting results at the end of each module. The modules are:
- Handling data
- Number
- Algebra and Shape and Space
Each week you will be introduced to new areas of the Mathematics National Curriculum and the pace of the course means that much of the work will need to be reinforced away from College in your own time.

How is the course assessed?
Three module papers in November, March and June. Each module will consist of a calculator and non-calculator paper.
Are there any resources to obtain?
A set text and a scientific calculator are requirements for the course. These be available to purchase at the initial class.
