Course content
This one-year course prepares students for the GCSE examination in 2009/10 at Higher Level (Grades A D) This is the standard GCSE Maths, which many jobs require at Grade C. Assessment is by 3 modular examinations in November, January and May/June.
The course covers topics such as number work, algebra, shape, space and measure, and simple statistics.
Once the course has started, you will need a simple scientific calculator and you will be required to buy the recommended textbook.
When you are entered for the exams, there will be a fee to pay to the awarding body.
