We are prepared to offer places to candidates who have no formal qualifications. These candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have the ability and experience to contribute to and benefit from the course.
You will need to demonstrate academic capability at postgraduate level - an Honours degree or professional qualification is a good indicator.

Course programme
The full-time MBA International Business:
- Places emphasis on the development of practical management skills.
- Offers the opportunity to study alongside people from other countries.
- Focuses on current management thinking, particularly related to the international and global environment.
The 12 month course is run over four terms, the first three consisting of 12 weeks each and the fourth lasting for eight weeks.
The 18 month course is run over four terms, the first three consisting of 12 weeks followed by a two month summer break and completing with a final term of 16 weeks. On this route, you have the opportunity to concentrate solely on your dissertation in the final term. You can also benefit from a longer period of time for career enhancement and planning activities, time to experience UK life (for international students) and the potential for paid work during the summer break.
The first term commences in September and will consist of an induction programme and five taught units. The induction programme is an orientation programme for overseas students.
The MBA structure offers three exit points at Certificate, Diploma and Master's level.
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Term 1)
Provides an understanding of the functional areas of most businesses and will critically discuss the environmental factors that impinge on organisations and how organisations may respond to such changes.
Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (Term 2)
At this level, the emphasis changes from understanding the internal workings of organisations to strategic issues, for example, how organisations manage their interfaces with the environment.
MBA International Business (Term 3)
The aim of the MBA International Business is to provide you with the skills to manage in global and international markets by developing appropriate management strategies.
Research and Dissertation writing-up period (Term 4)
The dissertation provides you with the opportunity to further your personal and intellectual development by undertaking a scholarly enquiry into a business or management issue.
Assessment
Assessment is of a practical nature and is undertaken on an individual basis.
Entry requirements
We expect a high level of motivation from students on this programme. Although we follow the standard University entry requirements, we are prepared to offer places to candidates who have no formal qualifications. These candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have the ability and experience to contribute to and benefit from the course.
You will need to demonstrate academic capability at postgraduate level - an Honours degree or professional qualification is a good indicator. Appropriate experience and a level of maturity to cope with strategic issues are sought.
Further study
Possibilities for further study include MPhil, DBA and PhD.
Employability
These programmes are designed to enable graduates to obtain employment in a wide variety of posts ranging from careers in consultancy, financial services, marketing, IT, MNCs and SMEs.
