MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL WORKS MEASUREMENT - Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

This course is aimed to provide students with knowledge, an understanding and skills of the method of measurement for specialist works (mechanical and electrical engineering works) according to Standard Method of Measurement for Building Works (SMM2) for the purpose of preparation of bills of quantities and estimating. The topic covered will include cold water supply installations, soil and waste disposal installations, underground drainage system, electrical installations, air-conditioning installations, fire fighting installations, telecommunication system, gas and fuel gas installation system.

1. You are required to attend minimum of eight (8) studio works for relevant M&E works in building project.
2. The main reference for this module is Standard Method of Measurement – Second Edition (SMM2) published in Malaysia.
