The course provides specialist learning in all aspects of the events industry, forming an ideal background if you wish to develop your studies by progressing on to the MA Events and Exhibition Management course.
We enjoy excellent connections with local and national event and exhibition organisations as well as with Birmingham-based events companies. The level of collaboration helps our students when they are searching for media production jobs, with a number of our graduates going on to set up their own events companies and work for a variety of big names such as the NEC Group.

About this course
Our events and exhibitions degree course encourages you to take creative risks and be a 'thinking' media worker, able to adapt to a fast-moving industry and confidently lead change.
We nurture your creativity by giving you the opportunity to develop and produce your own event for a real-life client in a professional context, which ensures you are able to put theory into practice.
You’ll learn all aspects of the events and exhibitions industry while developing your own management and production skills.
With strong links to many influential media organisations, this course offers an industry-relevant blend of production, theory and professional studies.
Recent students have gained invaluable experience, knowledge, insight and contacts through industry placements.
OpportUNIty: Student Jobs on Campus ensures that our students are given a first opportunity to fill many part-time temporary positions within the University. This allows you to work while you study with us, fitting the job around your course commitments. By taking part in the scheme, you will gain valuable experiences and employability skills, enhancing your prospects in the job market.
Applicants will also need a good portfolio to bring to interview at an Applicant Visit Day. See Portfolio Guidance on the 'How to apply' tab.
