Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?

How will I be assessed?
You will study six units: four of which will be assessed by a portfolio of coursework and two units which will be assessed in the form of a final major project by an external verifier.

What can I do afterwards?
If you achieve a Merit or Distinction in this qualification you can go on to Advanced Level courses, including the National Diploma in Media Production or the National Diploma in Performing Arts.

Are there any additional costs involved?
There will be a one off payment of £65 at the beginning of the course - this goes towards the updating of resources and supporting extra curricular activities such as trips and visits. Each student will also have to bring in three mini-DV tapes and five mini-disks. Additional costs will be incurred for photography developing equipment and course trips. Overall costs should not exceed £100 for the year of study.
