2. Course description Summary: A dynamic course in which you gain industry experience and a Foundation Diploma (at level 3 or 4) within our media production company. Course description: City College Norwich has created a dynamic course in which you will learn how to be part of a media production company. You will research, pitch, budget and create live projects that may include; film, TV, radio, animation, photography and graphic design. You will develop creative, business and enterprising skills over the course of one year. In addition to gaining real industry experience, you will also receive a Foundation Diploma either at level 3 or 4. The Media Learning Company is modeled on the structure of a production company which means that you get real experience of what the industry is like. The course starts with the exciting task of branding the production company. You will then be mentored by industry professionals including Eye Film & TV and given exceptional opportunities to work with a broad range of clients on real projects. Learning outcome: This course develops the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective employee in the creative arts sector. It is recommended for students who wish to work within a media production environment or students who wish to find out more about the media world before committing to an HE course. During the course learning is based around tuition and on the job practice. The course will be structured over 36 weeks based on a 35 hour working week. The course will be as close as possible to working in the real world of a production company.
