What stands out about this course?

As a Media A Level student, you will have the unique opportunity to use broadcast quality HD cameras, tracking, mobile lighting kits, auto-cue and mobile vision mixing facilities, fully equipped industry standard Apple Mac video editing suite, fully operational Radio Station, audio editing and production software to enhance your studies. With access to purpose-built studios and specialist facilities for textiles, sculpture, print-making, photography and painting, you will work in an ideal environment in which to unleash your creative skills. Media Studies will help you gain a solid understanding of the purposes, principles, and concepts of media products across key platforms including new and emerging media. You will study the contemporary media landscape to look at the changing ways and contexts in which media texts are produced and consumed. You will focus on the way media constructs representations and produce your own multi-platform content.
