Course programme

This is an important Act which came into force in October 2007 and governs the way in which people who lack mental capacity should be treated.

We start by looking at a number of potiential scenarios to identify exactly what the act covers and then go on to present all aspects of it in an easy to understand way. We then examine how the act will affect working practices and case records and then move onto lasting Powers of Attorney and the role of IMCAs.
