Course programme

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a 12 hour training course that improvesmental health literacy and helps people to recognise the signs andsymptoms of someone with mental health problems; to respond tovarious mental health crises; and to engage with, support and signpostpeople to appropriate professional help. MHFA saves and improves lives.Comparisons can be drawn between MHFA and Emergency First Aid. Inboth cases members of the public can offer immediate aid and supportthe person to get appropriate help.
