This module is designed to furnish participants with knowledge and skills pertinent to mentorship in the context of their professional practice. The ethos of supported challenge through context specific mentorship enables the development of critically reflective practitioners responsible for achievement of their own and others practice. This module can be used towards the NMC requirements for Stage 3 mentor status.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be through an integrated critically reflective portfolio of learning.

On successful completion you will:
  • Demonstrate the competencies of a mentor as recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council;
  • Mentor others with confidence in context specific areas.
