It will cover the entire M&A process, from making decisions to pursue a growth strategy through to integration of the target. Case studies based on real M&A activity will be used in the course. Evidence suggests that less that half of corporate mergers deliver value for buyers' shareholders. To help understand this failure, the managerial tasks involved in achieving a successful merger are discussed, including identifying targets, due diligence and negotiating the heads of agreement. Suitable for: This course is suitable for people who are involved in the acquisition process and wish to gain an understanding of what needs to be done and when it needs doing. Main focus of the course is private company acquisitions however a summary of the public company M&A rules will be given.
