It will cover the entire M&A process, from making decisions to pursue a growth strategy through to integration of the target. Case studies based on real M&A activity will be used in the course. Evidence suggests that less that half of corporate mergers deliver value for buyers' shareholders. To help understand this failure, the managerial tasks involved in achieving a successful merger are discussed, including identifying targets, due diligence and negotiating the heads of agreement.
