(including a teaching qualification as a Michael Chekhov Technique Facilitator)
September 2012 – Mai 2014
Gaiety School Of Acting, Dublin
(eight one week long modules)
€ 590 / 550 per week (housing not included)
Our intensive training programme will enable actors and directors as well as performers to use the unique tools of the Michael Chekhov Technique to enhance their creativity in their professional work.
Involving imagination and psycho-physical techniques, Chekhov’s method respects the actor as a free creative artist. Central to this is the development of artistic feelings on stage, and the psychological gesture, for creating the character.
Eight one week long modules offer a well-structured, practical approach to the tools of the Michael Chekhov Technique. International practitioners and tutors will provide a deep insight into today's understanding of this highly acclaimed method. Working on monologues, short scenes and improvisations, the actor will develop creative skills for finding the character, both for stage and film.
Modules 7 and 8 offer a practical teacher training progressing toward a qualification as Michael Chekhov Technique Facilitator, for those who wish to direct, teach or facilitate creative work with other performers.
