How often do you walk or drive to work and barely notice what you’re passing. Places become so familiar to us we hardly ever stop to notice them, or we are so consumed by our thoughts that life can rush by without the time to really consider our place in it. This can lead to stress and a flight or fight response that can affect our health and wellbeing.
We’re bombarded every day with thousands of images and sometimes we don’t even notice them. We snap away at subjects with our phones or digital cameras and the resulting images often never leave our devices, except maybe to send the odd Facebook message or tweet. This is your chance to slow down, take stock and take photographs with thought. Using the skills of mindfulness - being in the moment, noticing without judgement - you will start to notice not only what you are seeing with fresh eyes but what you are thinking and feeling giving space to your creativity.
On this course you will learn the principles of mindfulness and apply them to your photography. it’s amazing how quickly you will start to develop your own personal photographic style which in itself boosts confidence and a sense of achievement.
