The responsibilities of a Company Secretary or those who take minutes at board level;
The responsibilities of the Chair.
2. The Agenda
How to construct the agenda and what it should include;
The chair's agenda and briefing notes.
3. Minute-taking
What to include at Board level;
How to take effective notes.
4. Active Listening
How to listen effectively in order to produce accurate minutes.
5. Producing the Minutes
How to make the minutes easy to understand and emphasise action points;
The use of professional language;
Getting the right tone;
Meeting terminology.
6. Practical Session
Trying out the new theories in a safe environment.
