Model Making for Art & Design

Modelling is an important way of representing ideas, realising material relationships, as well as being a presentation tool for both art and design disciplines. If you are interested in making the small-scale object, if you would like to explore techniques in construction and detailing, then this course is for you. Students will be introduced to a wide range of issues and concerns including scale and proportion, rendering different material effects and representing the spatial qualities of your idea. By the end of this course students will be able to use construction techniques to build small and large-scale models.
