Motivating Patients to Engage
Lack of motivation and engagement can be familiar challenges to care within psychiatric settings. This 1-day course is designed to provide participants with a broad overview of the theoretical background to motivation and engagement.
It provides an opportunity to practice some of the basic skills that can be helpful to increase patients activity. The course has been written specifically for unqualified or newly qualified staff who work on a day-to-day basis with patients, and who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills. Therefore, candidates do not need to be clinically trained to attend.
The course can take a maximum of 16 delegates.
