About this course

On completion of this course you should be able to:

Evaluate selected leadership approaches to influencing high quality, patient-centred care and apply motivational and coaching principles to support others and lead changes in practice.
Consider your role in supportive relationships and evaluate factors that influence personal effectiveness
Reflect on current communication and leadership styles to develop practice that is self-reflective and self-aware, identifying strategies for further development.

It is designed to assist staff in becoming more influential within their roles through enhancing communication, relationships, personal effectiveness, resilience and autonomy.

The module focuses on an assets based approach to developing self and others with an emphasis on supportive and motivational relationships. Modelling compassionate leadership, the module aims to develop leaders who can inspire a shared purpose, support the delivery of high quality, patient-centred care and contribute to an organisational culture engaged with constructive change.
