You will be assessed by a range of methods including projects, assignments and coursework; you will keep your assessed work in a portfolio. There are multiplechoice tests for all of the units. Progression You can progress through your learning with Weymouth College from Entry Level right up to Level 3. After completion of Level 1, you may progress to Level 2 Automotive Studies or to our Apprenticeship programme. After completion of Level 2 and 3 the skills acquired help you gain employment within the industry, enrol on an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship or move on to higher education. Those who completed Level 3 may also progress to the Certificate of Supervisory Studies within the automotive industry. Fees • If you are aged 16–18 as of 31 August on the year of enrolment – no course fee. • If you are over 19 as of 31 August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases. Bursary funds There are financial support arrangements for 16–18 year olds and hardship funds available for the over 19s.
