Course programme

What will I learn?

You will learn: health & safety in the motor industry; engine technology; chassis technology; transmission technology; practical skills (removal, repair and refitting of components); vehicle inspection; and testing You will also learn functional skills

How will I be assessed?

You will complete a personal portfolio, undertake timed online tests and be observed carrying out practical tasks

What may it lead to?

This course allows you to progress into the motor industry, or onto higher-level qualifications at Canterbury College

Entry Requirements

You will need four GCSEs at grades C or above (including Maths and English) and a Level 1 (or above) in the functional skills 'Number, Communication & ICT' diagnostic test You will also need a satisfactory report from your school or previous learning institution / an individual reference You will also need to have completed the Level 1 course

Work Experience

You will be encouraged to participate in work experience during the course
