Course programme



This is an exciting new addition to our suite of Motor Vehicle programmes. This course provides you with a sound knowledge of the operational and business aspects of the motor vehicle sector. The programme has been designed for students wishing to consider a career in the sector but not necessarily as a vehicle technician.


The course can give entry in to careers such as, vehicle fleet management, vehicle sales, vehicle insurance/ warranties, parts factors and dealership management. Practical and technical aspects will be covered, alongside the legal aspects of the motor trade, sales techniques, management, career pathways, workshop loading and maintenance, quality processes and customer communications.


The course is delivered through workshops, practical activities, application of live work, lectures and research and is supported through individual and group tutorials. In addition to your main programme, you will study English and maths. Depending on your grades on entry, you will study either Functional Skills or GCSEs English and maths (one per year).

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs (grades A*- C) including English Language maths and a science, or satisfactory results in a relevant Level 2 qualification, and an interview.

Our term starts the week commencing 5th September 2016,
however you may have different start dates depending on the course.
You will receive the details of your first day over the summer period,
