Course programme
An induction designed for non-care staff and administrators, who do not provide personal care for residents or service-users. The course will focus on moving inanimate objects, back care, legislation, policy and procedures in relation to lifting and handling. This is a mandatory course for all new St Monica Trust staff.
We offer a range of induction courses for new staff which also provide opportunities for non-care staff including domestic, catering and administrative employees. These are structured to cover the core principles that underpin working in a care environment, ranging from the impact of legislation to how best to communicate with residents and service users.
Organising training at your place of work is particularly valuable for group learning and delivers direct cost savings for more than five people. It allows the training session to be geared to specific issues which affect your workplace and your team including, if relevant, working with your particular equipment.
Half day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. / 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
