About this course

Intended for anyone that wishes to teach Moving and Handling in their workplace or for those looking to become instructors or trainers in their own right

A basic knowledge of Moving and Handling is required but not essential

Moving and Handling Train the Trainer

Taught by trainers for trainers. The instructors have a vast amount of experience in a number of different teaching arenas and can assist with classroom management and teaching skills as well as the Moving and Handling

Once you make the enquiry you will receive details regarding the course and how to book.

The course is accredited to a body but does meet the standards of the HSE and NBE.

There are a number of assessment criteria throughout the course including a multiple choice examination and also a 30 minute microteach.

On completion the candidates will be given a number of teaching resources in order for them to begin teaching and training. There will be no provision of Moving and Handling equipment but guidance will be given as to where to locate them.

Course programme

An intensive four day course that covers all aspects of moving and handling and how to teach this important subject. The method of teaching will be classroom based with a large amount of practical skills mixed in. Assessment is completed through a number of ways including examination/test and also a microteach lasting 30 minutes.

Assistance and support is given throughout the program and beyond. Successful candidates will be given teaching resources to enable them to deliver training following the course. There is also a supportive process whereby the candidate will have technical support and advice from the training department should they need it.

Reagular updates are also available for candidates to keep thir skills and knowledge fresh and up to date.
