MSP® Residential Advanced Practitioner Training

Introduction

The Knowledge Academy MSP® Residential Advanced Practitioner course consists of two days of training to help you prepare for and pass the MSP® Advanced Practitioner exam.

This intensive workshop is designed to build on the Foundation and Practitioner courses and give delegates a fuller understanding of the processes, components and techniques of the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) methodology.

MSP Advanced Practitioner is a globally-recognised Programme Management qualification which indicates that the holder has the knowledge required to lead a programme of organisational change.

The course includes the Advanced Practitioner exam and has been accredited by the BCS (British Computer Society).

Pre-Course Reading

There will be some chapter of the MSP manual along with a case study to read before the course begins. This should take a minimum of 8 hours.

Prerequisites

You must have completed both MSP Foundation and MSP Practitioner before attending.

We recommend this course for Programme Managers, experienced Project Managers and Programme Support Team members looking to move into a leadership role.

The course lasts two days, with the exam being taken on the final day.

Course Content

The course covers all the topics in the MSP guide and is accompanied by handouts and comprehensive course notes. Exercises are essay style and based on the case study that will be used in the Advanced Practitioner examination. There is a mock examination where your answers will be briefly assessed followed by guidance from the tutor. This is designed to provide candidates with a thorough preparation for the examination itself.

• 75 marks in total, pass mark is 38/75, or 50%
• Open-book (MSP guide and course notes are permitted)
