Multidisciplinary End of Life Care - Advanced Professional Development [Level HE7] part-time

Why choose this course? Course overview The approach to end of life care (EoLC) has changed dramatically and debates continue about how best to deliver patient-centred care continue. This course looks at all the issues involved, drawing on the long standing experience, expertise and up-to-date research skills of the team of health tutors. It is appropriate for all professionals, particularly in healt or social care, involved in the care of individuals approaching the end of life and their families. The course will enhance your knowledge and skills surrounding the effective delivery of EoLC and help you develop a deeper understanding of the importance of inter-professional, multidisciplinary and multi-agency working which is so crucial in the delivery of end of life care. Skills in this complex and sensitive area of contemporary health and social care are in increasing demand. This multidisciplinary module reflects the Department of Health’s EoLC programme. It is flexible and designed to fit in with busy home and working lives. You may be given financial support by your employer to undertake this course, or you may be self-funded. You will need your employer’s upport to complete this qualification because you will need access to a mentor (who helps the University assess your progress on the course). This course is part of a professional development framework and the credits gained upon completion of this course can be used towards the BSc (Hons) Professional Studies (Health and Social Care)
