What you need to know
How will I study?

You will look at Appraising Music, Performance and Composition. Component 1 is appraising music and consists of listening, analysis and contextual understanding (40%). Component 2 is performance which could be solo or ensemble, instrumentalist, vocalist or music production (35%). Component 3 is a composition (25%). All components are externally assessed.
How will I be taught?

You will attend classes in performance, composition and musical understanding.
How will I be assessed?

This is a 2 year linear A-level where you are examined on the whole syllabus at the end of the second year. You will be assessed at the end of year one to see if you can progress to year two.
