Music Rock School Extended Diploma Level 3

You will learn about: aural perception skills; composing and arranging; sound recording; jazz improvisation; world music; music and society; improvising music; music theory and harmony; performance skills; and classical music in practice You will study additional qualifications in ABRSM music theory and functional skills as part of the course

Through a combination of written assignments, tests, practical work, group projects and exams

You may progress to an HND in Music Performance, another degree-level programme, or gain a job in the music industry

You will need five GCSEs at grade C (including English and Maths) or a Level 2 Music Diploma at Merit grade (or an equivalent qualification) Entry onto the course is subject to an interview and attendance at our compulsory summer school

Trips are offered to British Music Experience, Music Live and the Royal Festival Hall Costs of additional trips will have to be met by the students Students are encouraged to undertake a two-week work placement in the second year of the course
