By studying this course you will: Be part of a programme of study that has excellent pass rates Be taught by our enthusiastic, experienced and talented music technology lecturing team Learn in purpose built recording studios Learn live sound and concert management in an actual working music venue in the city centre using state of the art live sound equipment Be able to work in a dedicated music computer suite running industry standard software packages Have the opportunity to use a wide range of microphones, instruments and studio equipment Be a part of booking, promoting, engineering and stage managing your own gigs at the Slade Rooms Understand how all of the skills you are learning can be applied in the industry Improve your knowledge of what music industry opportunities are available Gain valuable team working and communication skills How will I be assessed? The course is project/assignment based and assessment is continuous throughout the year both in lessons, set work and through observations. Each unit will be assessed and awarded with a final grade of pass, merit or distinction. Some units may be subject to external assessment. What can I do next? The skills you will learn from this course will enable you to: Pursue a career in sound engineering, sound recording, events management, marketing and promotion, technician or as a freelancer in the industry Progress on to our Foundation Degree in Creative Music production, HND in Live Sound and Events, a university degree or employment
