NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IT PRACTITIONERS (WEB TECHNOLOGY)

Course Aims:
A BTEC National Certificate is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about Computer Networking and completing an industry-recognised qualification you will develop the general IT skills you need to start a career.The course will provide the learner with the skills required for; computer networking including the Cisco vendor qualification, problem solving, project management and systems development and web design.It is equivalent to two A levels which means when you have finished the course you can choose whether to get a job straight away or go into higher education first.

Course Content:
Communication & Employability, Digital Graphics & Computers, Advanced Database Skills, Website Production & Management, Computer Systems, Computer Animation, Client Side Custom Web Pages, Principles of Software Design, IT Troubleshooting and Repair, Communication Technologies, Principles of Computer Networks, Human Computer Interface.

Progression:
BTEC National Certificates are valued by employers and higher education (universities and colleges). Students go into careers in many IT related disciplines as programmers and technical analysts and progress to professional status in their chosen field.
