5 GCSEs at grade C or above or,
1st Diploma Art & Design (merit grade) or,
GNVQ Art & Design (merit grade) or,
4 GCSEs at grade C or above but accompanied by a strong portfolio may also be considered.
One of the above along with a successful interview and satisfactory reference.

Course Aims:
This course will provide you with extensive knowledge and experience in a full range of media products aimed at games development and design. This is a nationally recognised qualification that is recognised by employers and universities alike.
Course Content:
In addition to the course's full-time hours, you will also be expected to undertake approximately 10 hours of independant study per week. You will study a range of subject areas including:
- Professional practice in the media industry
- Production management
- Digital graphics
- Animation production
- Narrative image making
- Web animation
- 3D animation
- Narrative stucture of games
- Games platforms and technologies
Progression:
On successful completion of the course you will may progress to a degree course such as Animation, Games Design, 3D Design or you may seek employment in the games or animation industry.

Other Costs:
The full-time National Diploma Animation & Games Design requires students to purchase art materials (sketch books,pens, etc.) -- usually less than 15 over the course of the academic year.
The course also includes an additional Photography qualification which incurs about 30 of costs on photographic paper & developer over the course of the year.
