NC Sound Production Group Award

Course Aims:
This brand new course is designed to meet the needs of students who wish to develop a grounding for progression to further study and to provide skills and knowledge to succeed in the music industry. Students will develop their musical and technical performance skills, an understanding of the music industry and employment opportunities within it. You will also have th chance to learn the basics of recording techniques, audio system connection and MIDI sequencing.

Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion will allow entry to HNC/D Sound Production, subject to interview.

Course Assessment:
Assessment is on a continous basis where each module is broken down into seperate performance criteria. The main emphasis of the course is on a practical basis however certain modules are project/research based and are assessed through submitted written work. Assessment will include a mandatory Group Award Graded Unit.
