Overview
The NCFE Level 2 Certificate for Airline Cabin Crew prepares learners for entry to airline industry training. The qualification provides the basic background skills, knowledge and understanding required to work effectively as a member of cabin crew.

The award consists of 6 mandatory units:

  • Understand the airline industry and the role of airline cabin crew
  • Promote effective customer care in the airline industry
  • Maintain effective team working and communications in the airline industry
  • Contribute to the health and safety of airline passengers
  • Contribute to aviation security
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the airport arrival process

Entry Guidance
Prospective students should be made aware that airline recruitment procedures, although they may vary, generally require the following specifications in prospective employees:

  • a minimum age of 18
  • the right to live and work in the EU
  • preferably some experience in a customer services environment
  • a good level of written English
  • an excellent standard of health which may be subject to medical examination by the airline
  • height between 5’ 2" and 6’ 2" with weight in proportion
  • an ability to swim at least 25 metres

This course will not only give you the opportunity to investigate the various roles and responsibilities of cabin crew but will also upon successful completion guarantee you an interview for a position with Thomas Cook Airlines and BMI Airlines.
