UK employers have recently reported a shortage in the amount of skilled business and administration staff, despite more than four and a half million people already working in this sector. This figure is expected to rise in coming years as the shortage of skills needs to be filled. If you want to upskill your workforce and help close this skills gap, this course can help you do that.

This qualification will provide your staff with a thorough understanding of all the aspects of a business administration role, which will enable them to provide continuous support to your organisation in relation to running the business, meeting targets, supporting change, managing projects, organising business events and keeping the workplace clean, safe and secure.

Benefits for the business:

  • Upskill staff members
  • Increase teamwork and morale as staff become more aware of how to communicate effectively and support colleagues
  • The course offer can be used as a staff benefit or as part of a development scheme

Benefits for the employees:

  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification
  • Enhance both personal skills and professional development
  • Courses are delivered as distance learning
  • Personal tutors are assigned to ensure learners have the support needed.

This course is split into manageable units. These are:

Unit 1: Principles of providing administrative services

This unit will enable employees to develop knowledge of a range of administrative support tasks as well as meeting types, different mail services and an understanding of how to organise travel and accommodation.
