Unit IOG1: Management and Control of Environmental Hazards

Element 1. Health, safety and environmental management in context
Element 2. Hydrocarbon process safety
Element 3. Hydrocarbon process safety
Element 4. Fire protection and emergency response
Element 5. Logistics and Transport Operations

Unit IOG1 is a taught unit assessed by a two-hour written examination. This examination consists of ten ‘short-answer’ questions and one ‘long-answer’ question. All questions are compulsory. Candidate scripts are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH.

We recommend that candidates should already have an underpinning knowledge of safety issues and preferably have studied the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
