NERC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Oil and Gas

The CDT studentship is funded for 4 years at the UK/EU level for tuition fees, the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) default stipend amount (£14,777 for the 2018/19 academic session) and an annual Research Training & Support Grant (RTSG) allowance of £5,000 (£20k over 4 years). Overseas applicants should contact their preferred institution(s) prior to submitting an application to ensure that the institution has sufficient funding to cover the higher international tuition fee applicable to their citizenship status.

Applications must be made directly to the university offering the project via their online application system details of which are provided below against each University's entry.

It is not yet clear which of the CDT university partners, if any, will be offering PhD projects as part of the current model for entry in October 2019. Details of available projects will be posted on this page as soon as agreement to recruit is confirmed.
