Course programme

A unique and magical 7-day residential training programme (all inclusive) based at a wonderful venue in Glastonbury, Somerset

An overview of course content:

  • Questioning skills and Meta model language that will shake the foundations on unhelpful thinking and beliefs – we do ‘tag coaching’ as part of the process to help you learn the effectiveness of this as a group.
  • The elegant use of the hypnotic language of reassurance – Milton model – you will be living and breathing this as it is ‘the oil on the cogs’ that makes all of the other tools and techniques really effective
  • Working on your own beliefs as a change-facilitator. Adopting the ‘assumptions’ that underpin NLP (because they ‘work’)
  • Helping your clients (and yourself and your family and friends) to establish really ‘well formed’ outcomes.
  • Establishing strong rapport skills.
  • How to engage in ‘content-free’ change-work – helping someone progress without even knowing what their issue is!
  • Some key models of NLP and how they link to the tools and techniques
  • Modelling your own excellence. Noticing what is working in one area of your life and capturing it and introducing it into another area of life where it is needed.
  • Timeline work to help people tap into their inner resources, step into future experiences, ‘heal’ unhelpful experiences in the past – and much more!
  • Anchoring resource states for empowerment (association techniques that help with state management)
  • Changing the structure of thinking and experience (working on the submodalities of ‘inner stuff’ – eg changing the details of the inner movie or the inner self talk)
  • Systematic desensitization – an ‘exposure’ approach that we combine with NLP for effectively helping people to deal with anxiety and fear
  • Enhancing your ‘sensory acuity’ – read people better - notice more! Eg eye movements and what they can tell us!
  • Part work – ways to help people get rid of those ‘inner battles’ where ‘part’ of them wants something and another part is stopping them achieving it. Helps people to ‘get out of their own way’
  • Eliciting ‘inner strategies’ to find out how people are either getting in their way or smoothing the way to their outcomes – making unconscious patterns conscious.
  • 6-step belief change process
  • Using metaphors in change work
  • Visualization as an empowerment tool
  • ‘Perceptual positions’ – a technique to help people to learn from past situations that may not have gone well (so as to help in similar future situations) or perhaps went extraordinarily well (and so want to ‘model’ what was effective to replicate in future).
