The 3 day nominated person workshop is a perfect first aid course for smaller businesses. The nominated person first aid course course is laid down within the 1981 HSE First Aid Regulations to provide adequate cover for smaller businesses with a lower level of risk.

How does it work

The 3 day nominated person workshop is an abbreviated First Aid Course that still covers the most important situations and injuries. The course involves;

  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is wounded and/or in shock
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries
  • Recognising the presence of major illness
  • The role of the first aider
  • Understanding the importance of basic hygiene in first aid procedures
  • Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in seizure
  • Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation
