KEY FEATURES
The aim of this course is to equip learners with the crucial skills and knowledge which will allow them to pursue a career in the area of Legal Support and Administration. Assessment during the course is ongoing, involving theoretical and practical tasks.

COURSE CONTENT

A selection of core units includes:
Law (Scottish Legal Framework; Law in Employment; Introduction to Legal Rights and Obligations; Introduction to Consumer and Investor Protection); Information and Communications
Technology; Communication; Numeracy; Working with Others; Problem Solving.

ADDITIONAL STUDY:
OXFORD, CAMBRIDGE & ROYAL SOCIETY OF ARTS CERTIFICATION

In addition to the National programme of units, all learners may be offered skills classes in Text Processing and Word Processing.

ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) awarded by the British Computer Society.

PROGRESSION
Learners who successfully complete (the equivalent of) 15 credits and obtain a satisfactory reference (particularly in relation to attendance) from their law lecturers will be considered for entry to HNC/D Legal Services and other related HNC/D courses.
