On this foundation course you’ll develop generic skills that are needed across a range of sectors, before studying modules that are specific to the nuclear sector. It has been developed in conjunction with employers to support the national need for skills development identified by Cogent – the Government Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the power industries, and has been endorsed by the National Skills Academy – Nuclear (NSAN). You’ll study the identification, analysis, evaluation and subsequent solving of problems associated with manufacture and process engineering, setting those activities within the context of nuclear operations.
