• Legal & Ethical Issues for Professional Practice (15 credits)
• Teaching, Learning & Assessing for Nurses (15 credits)
• Advanced Assessment Skills & Clinical Decision Making (15 credits)
• Dissertation (30 credits)

Optional modules:

You are required to take a further 30 credits from the group of elective modules indicated below:

Group A

Palliative & End of Life Care Foundations (15 credits)

or

Fundamental Knowledge & Skills in Older Person’s Care (15 credits)

Group B

Leadership & Clinical Governance in Healthcare (15 credits)

or

Team-Based Health Care Practice & Decision Making (15 credits)

Teaching

You can expect 50 contact hours for each module of the study course, and this will include both online and face to face lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops. Some areas of the course are designed to promote independent study supported by individual or group supervision. Contact hours for these modules will be adjusted accordingly.

Assessment

We will assess your progress and attainment on all modules you take on the course through a range of techniques, which includes essays, portfolios, dissertation projects and clinical examinations. For the research based module, there is an unseen written examinations.
