Entry Requirements: The NVQ has a choice of either Adults or Children and Young People pathways.
The course is suitable for Senior care workers, health care workers, home care organisers and community support workers and would all benefit from the Adults Pathway.
The Children and Young People pathway is especially relevant to residential care workers and foster carers, as well as workers in health, youth justice and educational settings.

Course Progression: The NVQ has a choice of either Adults or Children and Young People pathways.

Careers Progression: Employees can progress onto the NVQ level 4 if they work
at a more senior level.

Course Description:
These NVQs are the benchmark qualification, written into
National Standards in Social Care and forming the basis
for workforce development and the Agenda for Change
in the NHS.

Description Breakdown:
The NVQs take six to nine months to complete.
Assessment includes observation, oral and written
questioning, witness testimony and portfolio-based
evidence.
At each level, employees will complete
mandatory units, plus a choice of optional units which
allow them to customise their qualification for their job
role.
