NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy

The course includes:

Facial Massage & Skincare

• Client consultation,
• skin diagnosis,
• selecting products and techniques to suit client,
• cleansing,
• steaming and extraction,
• exfoliation,
• massage of face neck and shoulders,
• mask application.

False Eyelashes, Eyelash/Brow Tinting & Brow Shaping

• Tinting lashes and brows.
• Shape brows.
• Application of strip and flare lashes.
• Removal of lashes.

Manicure & Pedicure

• Nail diagnosis
• cuticle work
• massage of lower limbs
• shaping nails
• application of French and block enamel.

Waxing

• Client consultation, application and removal of warm wax from legs, bikini, underarms, upper lip and eyebrows.
• After care advice.

Make-Up

• Application of day make-up and evening make-up.

You will attend for 5.5 training days, at the end of this time you will receive the Beauty Academy Diploma which is recognised for insurance - this will enable you to offer treatments to the paying public.
Following your training you will build a portfolio of treatments from home and complete the workbook we send you. You will then return to the Academy for written and practical assessment. It takes approximately 16-20 weeks to fully complete the award.
