APPRENTICESHIP DISTRIBUTION AND WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS

NVQ LEVEL 3 DISTRIBUTION AND WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
This qualification is ideal for those currently working in a team leader or supervisory role in distribution and warehousing operations. To achieve the award, the candidate must complete a total of 8 units – 2 mandatory and 6 optional.

Mandatory Units

Candidates must achieve both of the following units:

Unit E16 Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment
Unit E20 Develop and maintain productive working relationships

Optional Units

Candidates must achieve six of the following units:

Group 1: Stock management

Unit B22 Organise the receipt and storage of goods
Unit B23 Audit stock levels and stock inventories
Unit B25 Maintain systems and facilities for distributing stock
Unit B26 Monitor and modify systems and facilities for distributing stock

Group 2: Customer services - A maximum of two units from this group can count towards the qualification. The others may betaken voluntarily as additional units but will not count towards the NVQ.
Unit D5 Organise, deliver and maintain reliable customer service
Unit D6 Improve the customer relationship
Unit D7 Work with others to improve customer service
Unit D8 Monitor and solve customer service problems
Unit D9 Promote continuous improvement

Group 3: Organisational effectiveness

Unit E14 Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations
Unit E17 Plan, monitor and adjust staffing levels and schedules
Unit E18 Contribute to the selection of personnel for activities
Unit E19 Contribute to the development of teams and individuals
Unit E21 Develop and maintain productive working relationships with those
for whom you have responsibility
Unit E22 Monitor and evaluate the quality of service provided by external
suppliers
