If you are aged between 19 - 24 and you dont have a qualification equivalent to 2 A levels, you can study any level 3 course for free. These courses may also be free for people on means-tested benefits.

Course Content: This course is for people who are seeking knowledge, understanding, skills in planning, supporting teaching and learning in schools or those wanting to work in this area

Successful completion of the qualification requires the undertaking of 4 mandatory units:

· Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour

· Establish and maintain relationships with individual pupils and groups

· Support pupils during learning activities

· Review and develop your own professional practice

In addition to this candidates must select 6 optional units which relate to their working practice.

Candidates must be in employment or have access to substantial placement opportunities in a school setting.

Special Features: First aid awareness training is included in the certificate

Course Format: The course will be run in the evening from 6-9; attendance is not required each week. The course will be run flexible times and dates to suit candidates work commitments. Support will be offered in taught class sessions, one to one support and practical observation.
