In September 2018, we will be running a new NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) Certificate Course to improve your career prospects and make sure you are up to date on relevant knowledge and legislation in the occupational health and safety industry.
Why study the Occupational Safety & Health NEBOSH NGC course at Middlesex University?
The NEBOSH courses will be run in part-time 'day release' format at our Hendon campus, by NEBOSH approved trainers.
You will have the opportunity to progress to our top-up one year undergraduate BSc Occupational Safety and Health (Top up) after successfully completing the NEBOSH National General Certificate course.
Please note: there are a maximum of 20 places available per course.
Dates
This course will run from September 2018 with the standard NEBOSH examination sitting on 5 December 2018. GC3 papers must be handed in (hard copy) no later than 19 December 2018.
National General Certificate exam Only option will take place on 5 September 2018:
NGC1 9.30 - 11.30
GC2 14.00 - 16.00
GC3 papers must be handed in (hard copy) no later than 19 September 2018.
GC3 inspection report must be handed no later than 20 December 2017.

Course content
What will you study on the Occupational Safety & Health NEBOSH NGC course?
The NEBOSH National General Certificate covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK, identification and control of workplace hazards, and the practical application of this knowledge.
The qualification is divided into three units, each of which is assessed separately:
- Management of Health and Safety
- Controlling workplace hazards
- Health and safety practical application
Assessment
No previous health and safety knowledge is required but candidates should note the assessment includes a requirement to write a short report.
