The course details are as follows:
From day one of the course you will start on the employability ALR side for the first 3 weeks and then further progress onto for the Door Supervisor course for the last 2 weeks.

Throughout this candidates will get a full support and materials to progress onto the exam with full pretences of passing first time round to gain the necessary qualification for all aspects of Door Supervision within the security industry.

About this course

The aim of the course is to train and produce SIA licenced Door Supervisors on successful completion of the course you will receive a HABC level 2 (QCF) Certificate in Door Supervision enabling you to apply for your Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.

Anybody interested in a career within the security industry.

To be eligible for full funding you must be in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance. You must not have a criminal record.

HABC level 2 (QCF) certificate in Door Supervision

Short eligibility interview and basic Literacy and Maths test.
We also need a copy of a passport/driving licence/birth certificate and confirmation of benefits at the time.

Depending on the number on candidates its normally 5 week. The course runs for 2 days a week (9-4:30).

Course programme

During the first 3 weeks you will be doing the ALR course which provides you with future skills, such as interview skills and equal opportunities. These give you confidence when applying for jobs and interpersonal skills. The last 2 weeks will be your door supervision course which entails working in the Private Security Industry, working as a Door supervisor, conflict management, and Pysical Intervention Skills.
