Ocr audio transcription level 1 (06967)

The course involves using audio transcription equipment and a word processing package to produce and print a variety of business documents including letters, memos, menus, notices, adverts, reports and articles.

In the OCR examination, dictation will be given at approximately 54 words per minute. Instructions will be given to emphasise text, underline, change line spacings, use closed and initial capitals, insert full stops, start new paragraphs and to refer to an information sheet.

Students have the option of studying towards the OCR Level 1 Award, OCR Level 1 Certificate or OCR Level 1 Diploma. It is possible to start off by studying at Award level and then later upgrading to Certificate or to Diploma level.

A Workbook is provided for this course, which is an excellent source of reference material once the course has been completed.
