Content With the ever increasing use of Display Screen Equipment in the workplace the employer needs to carry out a full and correct assessment of workstations to protect the user from illness/injury, and him/herself from litigation. Who should attend: Owners and managers of small companies, Directors of larger companies, Human Resources Manager, employees with specific Health and Safety responsibilities. Aims: To make candidates aware of their legal responsibilities for Office Safety and Display Screen Equipment and to enable them to carry out their duties. Learning Objectives: On completion of this event the candidate should be able to: · Identify the legal requirements of the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regs 1992 · Carry out an analysis of a workstation to assess and reduce risk Course Contents: · This module is one of a programme of half day events aimed at providing participants with both theoretical and practical solutions to current Health and Safety issues. · Led by Richard Phillips, MIOSH, a practising Health and Safety consultant, the event will include presentations and practical exercises in these important subjects.
